Pros
-good pay -(kinda) flexible hours - work 40+ Monday-Friday, but you can work like 7-3 or 10-6 -QM hours are easy to make your own. I rarely work more than 40 hours. Other roles are not the same experience. -no dress code!! nice to wear sweats to work -similarly, pretty casual dynamics with coworkers - we all get hired from all kinds of backgrounds, everyone comes in and does their work best they can -offices are solo or with 1 person (often a fellow new hire) - nice to have your own space -can kind of choose how to expand your daily work / take on certain topics and meetings to own -good food -fun sights and pretty campus
Cons
-takes a longggg time to get to know the system / the details of your job -not a lot of promotion / upward movement opportunities - I have less than a year tenure and have the same title as people who have been here as long as my life -very little PTO (10 vacation days a year, 6 sick days, 6.5 scheduled holidays) -workflow fluctuates heavily; there can be weeks in a row of every person needing to work longer hours, and then be bored 2 weeks later with nothing to do
