You get to interact with guests daily, build rapport, and create a welcoming environment. This is great if you enjoy people facing roles and making someone’s experience better. You oversee front desk operations, support staff, and help maintain service standards, good stepping stone for higher management roles.
Cons
There’s usually a strong focus on hitting membership and product sales goals, which can feel pushy at times. If the franchise owner lives out of state, you may carry more responsibility but still have limited authority on bigger decisions. Managing call outs, busy periods, and coverage can be overwhelming, especially without enough support for other mangers/the owner.
