Pros

-We have such a great environment here, it's always positive and fun. ->We have a no gossip no drama policy, so we get to be in a drama free environment, and aside from that all of us get along so well! -We have hourly pay, but also get to earn commission on top of it. You get great sales experience from educating guests here on what we offer. -Our guests are awesome-you really get to know the regulars coming in to the center. -Our location has been here for 5 years and is an established location, so we stay busy. -Our franchisees have an option for health/dental benefits, which is not common in the beauty industry, but SO valuable to have available. -I like the hours, we do shorter days on weekdays, so you have plenty of time to do other things outside of work. -What we offer to our guests is great - I came to the company as a guest for about 4-5 years before working here, so I don't have a hard time believing in what we have to offer! Our wax is the best, we are leaders in being clean and sanitary, our product line is awesome and all made by our company. It all has a lot of thought and research done in formulation and it's peta approved. Our packages are also great, something I bought as a guest to save money. These are the things we "sell" to our guests and they are easy to believe in! -The company is very empowering to women and have great movements to stand behind like the Ax the Pink Tax movement that started earlier this year. -Our training program is very thorough - for both GSA's and Waxer's, I felt much more prepared back when I started here vs my job before. There are also so many resources provided to reference. -Contests -Coaching -Management is always available when we need them! -Loyalty bonuses!

Cons

Whenever we come across any cons or issues, they get handled and addressed. Our management really cares about their centers and all of the associates that work in them, so they are more than happy to take feedback and make sure the cons go away. Any cons that have come up aren't current.

Great coworkers, supportive team environment, loyal clients, and valuable opportunities to develop professional skills.

Cons

I’d like to raise some concerns about communication and fairness. We are asked to communicate everything, yet often our messages go unanswered or are met with a negative attitude. There is also a sense of favoritism in time-off approvals. Last-minute scheduling changes have disrupted my plans due to lack of notice. I’ve been incorrectly scheduled due to miscommunication, and I’ve had intense shifts without reasonable breaks. Additionally, our manager consistently arrives later than anyone, often when clients are waiting to pay, yet she gives attitude to others for minor delays. On top of that, product management is often last-minute. We run out of supplies like products, creams, or paper, and it only gets addressed when urgent, forcing us to scramble between rooms. I’m bringing these concerns forward because I hope for a more consistent, supportive, and equitable work environment for all of us.
