Pros

Some great people to work with

Cons

Senior management and above are predominantly older white men who have been at Experian for yonks and have an obsession with unnecessary time-wasting powerpoints. Very disorganised company and not open to change or improving policies or processes. Induction was non-existent, which meant that after 1 year many of us felt that we had big knowledge gaps. Awful experience for anyone new joining this company. Lack of career progression as the people in middle management and above never leave.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we’re pleased you felt you were surrounded by great colleagues. Diversity and Inclusion are absolutely core to our people strategy and have been for some time, particularly making sure we get the balance right at our senior/executive level and ensuring leadership is reflective of the broad, diverse range of employees who work with us. Over the last year or so we have launched a number of initiatives to further develop female talent in the workplace, such as the ‘Women in Experian’ network and a number of tailored development programmes, plus some great work launched by our Wellbeing team around Pride, belonging in the workplace and the education, use and importance of pronouns. That said, we take your feedback on board and please know that we are committed to ensuring that Experian continues to make strides in the diversity space in every aspect, whether it be gender, ethnicity, neurodiversity and more. If you’d like to discuss this further we welcome any and all feedback around our D&I strategy so please do feel free to get in touch directly. Our policies and processes are often reviewed across different departments and efficiency and accessibility for colleagues and customers is at the forefront of our strategy. We are continually seeking to improve and again welcome any feedback here so thank you for sharing your thoughts. Lastly we’re sorry to hear that your induction experience was not at the world class level we expect. We have a number of resources available to new joiners in the UK including digital welcome packs and training sessions, First Day checklists and guides, and Managers are provided with detailed guides and tips to provide new joiners with the best start possible. We are currently running a number of workstreams to further enhance the new joiner experience and your feedback is an important part of this and will be shared to shape future plans – we appreciate onboarding is especially critical in the current climate as employees join us entirely remotely. As a large global company, we do have processes in place that may slow down the implementation of change, but we are constantly working to improve and innovate in any way we can. We're always open to your comments and suggestions, so thank you again for leaving them!

Pros

Decent salary & benefits, monthly no internal meeting days

Cons

Friendly reminder that HR does not care about you. They care about staff with seniority, whom they will allow to retaliate despite that being against company policies. Think twice about reporting the higher ups because it will come back to haunt you, guaranteed. Also, AI is the only thing that matters anymore. Watching the volume of once-impressive colleagues become so single and simple minded through constant AI usage is not only disappointing but genuinely alarming. Thinking for oneself is no longer the standard, it seems, and speaking against such unfettered use of AI in all things will get you professionally ostracized.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear that compensation and certain aspects of the work environment have been positive. At the same time, we’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you raising these concerns. Creating a workplace grounded in respect, fairness, and accountability is essential, and feedback like yours is important as we continue to reflect on how we support our people and reinforce a positive and inclusive environment.
