Cons
It's clear that this company has lost its way, and unfortunately, its employees bore the brunt of that decline.
The most striking issue is the complete lack of support from leadership. It felt like we were all adrift, with no clear direction or guidance, especially as things began to unravel. The genuine care for employees seemed to evaporate, replaced by an unsettling sense that management was increasingly detached and unconcerned with our well-being. It was incredibly disheartening to witness.
There are constant layoffs and Watching talented, dedicated colleagues, many of whom had poured their hearts into the company, be let go so abruptly was terrible. You couldn't help but wonder if you'd be next, and that's a truly terrible way to work.
It truly felt like all the good people were gone, either pushed out or choosing to leave in search of stability and a more humane environment. The culture is very toxic and demoralizing.
If you're considering a career at Farfetch, I urge you to look very closely at the current landscape. Based on my experience, it's a company that's sinking fast, and it felt like management prioritized short-term decisions over the long-term health of its people and its business.
