      Pros

      Friendly environment, competitive compensation and benefits, good professional opportunities.

      Cons

      Ford is like that "Boiling Frog" fable: in the past 15 years it plummeted from #2 to #6 of the World, lost the race to China, quit the heavy trucks, gave up the premium cars niche, and now it is announcing that will abandon the car market. Senior Management is like "Hmmm that's ok, I'm still making some with my annual bonus".

      Pros

      Pretty easy job, low stress, good work life balance, nice people. If you just want a place where you can maintain a stable career, with decent pay, and a good work life balance, you could do much worse than Ford.

      Cons

      Terrible leadership decisions. ADAS got wrecked over the past 2 years. Most of the talented engineers that I knew have moved on. Part was intentional attrition via return to office mandates and the rest was just the fact that the talented folks who could easily get new jobs got frustrated enough to leave. If you're interested in deep technical work related to autonomy, robotics, ADAS, etc - Ford is not the place you want to be. All of the interesting work has been moved to Latitude, Ford ADAS is mostly just supplier management now.
