      Pros

      Decent wages Great people to work with (Burnaby, BC) Great stock options for earlier employees Excellent range of products that sell well

      Cons

      Poor management skills: Lack of communication, no performance reviews, evaluations and career path planning, does not value employees No sense of loyalty and respect - if they do not need you anymore, you are either demoted or coerced to resign Highly political - you have to be part of the right clique to succeed. Different regions are in a political warfare against each other Work environment could be better,can be more tidy Lack of team building events

      Pros

      Solid, stable, predictable. Most people are out of the office by 4 or 5 pm. Life is easy and expectations are low.

      Cons

      Little support for marketing. Fortinet has too many products and too many product lines - and every product owner is fighting for attention of sales. The company is firmly wedded to it's hardware roots. Fortinet has not invested in internal systems. Reporting is awkard and cumbersome, and adaption on enterprise AI is still a long ways off. There are no women in senior roles.
