Pros

Nice place to learn when you don't have experience. Free Fortinet certifications Good benefits 401k, medical, vision, stock plan.

Cons

Post-sales or TAC is the worst place you want to go. Salary is not competitive with the market specifically in TAC High load of technical cases. High demand of requirement you have to carry out like create documentation, get certifications, learn new technologies even if you are full of technical cases. At the end, you will be an operator answering calls and fixing problems. The company is focusing on new features and new releases and they don't care about the stability of the operative system in most of the devices. You will be alone in the desert learning. Most of the courses of specific technologies are given by your coworkers and are not focus on troubleshooting, There is not any training from developers or project managers. You won't have time to check new features or new products. Your study time will be out of your shift. Management doesn't care about the request of the engineers. That's why the engineering life in TAC is two years more or less, Then, they go to other companies whose pay better and have better opportunities. When you get a new position they raise you from 12-14% of your current salary. If you did a bad deal at the beginning, you will be convicted while you stay in Fortinet.

Pros

- On target OTE and uncapped commissions - Great overall work culture - A lot of cool Field marketing events - Ability to expense dinners, entertainment, gifts for clients - Great company vision and a broad security fabric portfolio with several third party validations for a well-known cybersecurity brand makes it easy to sell and be successful.

Cons

- New business quotas are the same for every seller at least on my team, who all have very different territories, some with more white space heavy accounts that can be much more challenging to hit quota compared to other territories. Quotas went up by 20% from previous year. - Too many internal systems to navigate - processes and sales enablement tools could be more efficient - You can be the top performer in your US sales segment, and still not make it to President's Club because of the way it's structured - competing against different segments and only top 3-4% get to go each year. Rewarding top performers in general is an area needing improvement in my opinion.
