Pros

Free food if you stay late

Cons

I don't even know where to start to show how messy this company is. - After 5 rounds (about 5 weeks) of interviewing, I was offered an entry-level position with Fortinet back in May, then they rescinded my offer 2 weeks later due to budget issues, - 3 months later (August), they called me back and asked if I was still interested in the position. Of course I said yes, Fortinet was my dream company! I quitted my current job to accept an offer with them. - When I first joined, I could already see a few red flags - the onboarding process was messy, co-workers did not respond to my messages until 2 days later, and many more that I can't say. I felt lost but still managed to hit the monthly target. I wanted to excel in this job so I stayed late everyday and dedicated all of my hard work. - I was recognized by my co-workers during one of the team dinners and they even said I am one of their favorite team member they've worked in the last few years. - One day after that team dinner, I was laid off after working for 1.5 months. No reason was given, which I suspected due to budget issues because I met all of my target. If you decide to join this company, join at your own risk, because Fortinet has a history of brutal layoffs. They are in an very unstable financial situation right now with not enough sales to keep the company afloat. Even if you are a hard-working employee, they might still terminate you without cause. If your company can't afford to pay employees, please don't waste their time!

Pros

- On target OTE and uncapped commissions - Great overall work culture - A lot of cool Field marketing events - Ability to expense dinners, entertainment, gifts for clients - Great company vision and a broad security fabric portfolio with several third party validations for a well-known cybersecurity brand makes it easy to sell and be successful.

Cons

- New business quotas are the same for every seller at least on my team, who all have very different territories, some with more white space heavy accounts that can be much more challenging to hit quota compared to other territories. Quotas went up by 20% from previous year. - Too many internal systems to navigate - processes and sales enablement tools could be more efficient - You can be the top performer in your US sales segment, and still not make it to President's Club because of the way it's structured - competing against different segments and only top 3-4% get to go each year. Rewarding top performers in general is an area needing improvement in my opinion.

Pros

Solid, stable, predictable. Most people are out of the office by 4 or 5 pm. Life is easy and expectations are low.

Cons

Little support for marketing. Fortinet has too many products and too many product lines - and every product owner is fighting for attention of sales. The company is firmly wedded to it's hardware roots. Fortinet has not invested in internal systems. Reporting is awkard and cumbersome, and adaption on enterprise AI is still a long ways off. There are no women in senior roles.
