Pros
Great people. Great talent. On paper things are good. Good benefits, vacation, year end shutdown.
Cons
Bad leadership. Too many redundant initiatives and not always sure who owns what or why. Favorite employees get promoted. Otherwise it’s almost impossible to move from a grade 7 to a 6. Been trying for about a decade - with good year end reviews each year, so at this point I’m close to giving up and leaving - despite how much I actually enjoy my role. I report to someone less experienced and less qualified than me - and see less experienced, capable and qualified people given opportunities - my 1:1 discussions are good but my manager has never been able to articulate exactly what gaps I’m missing that others don’t have. Very frustrating.
