Pros
You can call out as much as you want and they won’t fire you. Clientele is nice in Westford only reason I stayed for so long.
Cons
The take your break out of your check without telling you, continue to do so when they anre confronted but will retaliate by cutting your hours. It’s an understaffed location, hiring brand new stylists with no intent to train them that responsibility is up to the current stylists while trying to run the salon for $14 an hour, $15 if you’re a lucky new hire. But you can’t talk about pay with other stylists otherwise they retaliate and you’re told you can’t (which legally you can talk about pay) No communication from the owners even if there is a problem that needs immediate attention. No salon manager so it’s a free for all. You get the schedule for the next week a night before and there will be plenty of changes without prior knowledge, owner can’t get peoples schedules correct so that’s always a mess. There is no communication between the staff with who is working and picking up shifts. Be prepared to work alone. No basic supplies needed to perform your job (like products) state board regulations arnt followed aka constantly running out of disinfectants, hand soap. No benefits and don’t give you any information about your sick time, how much you’ve allocated or used nothing because they don’t want you to use it most stylists don’t even know they get paid sick time because it’s not mentioned. Cheap tippers but that doesn’t really matter as much as how horrible the owners will treat you
