Pros

I've worked at St. John's for the past several years..and there has never been a day that isn't challenging. Some people may consider that a con, but I consider it a pro. I want to always be challenged and I want to continue to learn, I believe that is the only way to continue to develop professionally. My team recognizes my abilities and what I can bring to the table, it's comforting knowing that we always want to strive to do our job the best we can, and St. John's really encourages that. They really do believe in Inspired Care..not just for their patients but for their colleagues as well.

Cons

Working in a hospital setting is always challenging, it's a lot different than working in a regular pharmacy. You have the challenge of working with physicians, residencies and other hospital staff on a daily basis. Thinking quick on your feet is a must in cases of emergency or trauma.

Pros

Best work environment I've seen in healthcare. Everyone is friendly and works together. They also have a fantastic residency program for new grads.

Cons

As every place, they expect too much from staff and you may not feel supported by management. However I will say that my opinion is colored by me working night shift.

Pros

Clinical staff were great, lots of skills to be gained, building is clean and spacious, in and outdoor seating for lunch, cheap insurance compared to other local healthcare organizations

Cons

30 minute lunch, only one microwave and two lunch shifts for entire office, have to use your PTO when they are closed for holidays and in my opinion you do not get much time the first 5 years, the office manager at that time (no longer there) was difficult to be around, same responsibilities and workload as LPN and RN with much less pay of course
