      Pros

      The benefits are okay for PT employees but a lot cheaper for FT employees. You have to work a min of 32 hours a pay period to qualify for benefits. Time and a half is paid for certain holidays and you earn PTO. Its a religious nonprofit hospital. It has good values.

      Cons

      Small hospital and old Sometimes is short staff Lower paying Raises have a lot to do with the number of hospital meetings you attend, they count as "points"

      HSHS is proud to offer benefits for any colleague who works at least 16 hours a week - medical, dental, short and long term disability, life insurance, paid time off, tuition assistance, flexible spending plans, retirement and pension! We also have an annual "pay for performance" cycle to reward our colleagues for excellent performance. However, you mention a hospital in your review. Perhaps you meant to comment on one of our hospital affiliate pages, rather than the Medical Group?

      Pros

      Best work environment I've seen in healthcare. Everyone is friendly and works together. They also have a fantastic residency program for new grads.

      Cons

      As every place, they expect too much from staff and you may not feel supported by management. However I will say that my opinion is colored by me working night shift.

      Pros

      Clinical staff were great, lots of skills to be gained, building is clean and spacious, in and outdoor seating for lunch, cheap insurance compared to other local healthcare organizations

      Cons

      30 minute lunch, only one microwave and two lunch shifts for entire office, have to use your PTO when they are closed for holidays and in my opinion you do not get much time the first 5 years, the office manager at that time (no longer there) was difficult to be around, same responsibilities and workload as LPN and RN with much less pay of course
