Pros

The people really are the story to Invenergy. Young, enthusiastic ready to learn. The company is growing and as such has a lot of processes \ procedures that are not defined. It's greenfield if you're the type to create a process vs. follow one.

Cons

Stay away from I.T. It's very much a "do as I say and not say as I do" environment. Expect to work long hours and create the appearance of availability; while leadership attends 10+ conferences is out of the office 47% of the time. Current leadership has no strategy or vision for the group and manages by crisis. If you consider yourself to have insight into your craft, be prepared to argue to move forward on relatively simplistic objectives. Invenergy is known for underpaying it's employees. Realize you're being underpaid by 40% and want a raise? Not happening. Earn a degree for which Invenergy could directly benefit? So what. To elevate yourself in a technology or degree DEMANDS you leave the organization. Invenergy prides itself on being a relatively flat organization, which in turn leads to minimum opportunities for advancement. CEO is depressing, during many town halls & company celebrations, you can count on him to suck the air out of the room. If you're looking to be inspired by a CEO, look elsewhere.

Pros

Great people, direct managers who care, lots of experience to lean on and SMEs who are qualified

Cons

Senior leadership is very far removed from the majority of employees, blanket decisions like a less flexible WFH policy are made company wide instead of addressing specific teams, low opportunity for promotions, lower than average salaries
