Pros

Snacks, Water, Coffee, good staples discount but I think got rid of that,

Cons

- Hiring out vs promotion internally - End of Year Compensation is a bell curve (Inflation has been INSANELY higher then salary increase. Upper management hoards all the money and distributes a very small amount to the TOP Performers, I mean 3 to 4 associates, 3 to 4 senior associates, and the rest are left with around 0-2% raises with no promotion) This createst a dog eat dog mentality, which CONTRADICTS the For the Better pillar they speak about. - Consulting ISNT problem solving, its making clients happy and most of the time upper management has absolutely no clue how to direct clients effectively, leading to countless pointless work for associate/senior associates/managers.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
