Pros

Resume Builder. Lots of paid time off (25 days); unfortunately this includes sick days and will usually be the only time you will get off.

Cons

No life. No time to use time off. If your married, you will probably get divorced if you stay for long. It's all about face time. Incompetent tax managers. Bill, Bill, Bill. There is not such thing as a busy "season." Most of the staff are incompetent football types that plug numbers and follow last year only. 95% of the staff/manager not know what is going on with there job. Jobs are there life. limited social events as everyone is too busy chatting in the office during there down time.

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
