Current performance review system involves forced ranking of employees, which after going through several layoffs, can be extremely unfair and demoralizing to those who are left. Changes in the industry has put more emphasis on cost savings and desire to make better decisions on projects has created a large beaurocracy, making it very difficult to make decisions and get real work done.
