Pros
There are no pros. I currently make $15.80 including my $2 3rd shift premium, which is nothing considering the fact that most employers, like McDonald's and Target, are now increasing their starting wage to $15. Starting pay at Kwik Trip is only $13.
Cons
EVERYTHING. Management is terrible. The turnover rate is ridiculously high. They work you like a dog here because they're always short staffed. I work in the kitchen as a cook the majority of the time. I'm currently very sick, like throwing up sick, but I can't call in because they only schedule 2 people here at night, so if one of us can't make it the store has to close for the night. I was literally throwing up in the kitchen while I was making food and they didn't care. I threw up so much and so violently that blood vessels in my face burst and my nose started bleeding, and management knows and still has me working in the kitchen. That is a HUGE food safety violation. I've work at 4 different Kwik Trips and the kitchen is always disgustingly filthy. If guests saw how nasty the kitchen is most of the time, no one would buy food there. The only time this place is clean is when we have Kwik Clean, which is when we get inspected, and then it goes back to being dirty right away. The bakery case is infested with fruit flies. It's extremely embarrassing when guest come up to me complaining that there are flies on their donut. I hate this job, it is absolutely the worst job I've ever had. The yearly bonus that everyone seems to love isn't even that much. After taxes, it's basically just an extra pay check, usually $500-$1000, which is not worth it at all. Also, they're very open with their racism here, at least the one I work at. I'm currently looking for another job.
