Pros
you have the ability to write your own paycheck (expect to work minimum 50 hours per week if you want to make decent money). ability to take a workout break and use facility during non peak usage time. great job if you are not a family person. but for selling gym memberships, you do get paid fairly in my opinion. great opportunity for someone new to sales.
Cons
very corporate. very political. awful team member retention, awful. i had 4 different sales managers in just 12 months. expect to work holidays, all of them. the company has been growing VERY fast (which is great), but this puts too many under-qualified people in management positions. forced to go to meetings even if your scheduled day off. benefits are getting worse every year. and because we are growing so fast, there is absolutely opportunity to move up, but again very political in whom they promote. no work/life balance. compensation plan changes way too often (approx every 12-18 months).
