Pros
- Free gym membership - Beautiful facilities - You form a good relationship with your coworkers (but only because everyone is there all the time and they all share the same hatred for their job)
Cons
- Pay is below average - You are expected to do any job that is given to you regardless of whether or not it is part of your job/something you know how to do (Ex: putting lifeguards in the child center/at the front desk) - Management is very corrupt - Questionable business practices - Good luck trying to use your free membership in peace...managers seem to see nothing wrong with coming up to you while you are working out or relaxing by the pool and asking you to start working on the spot (seriously.) This has happened to me plenty of times and a friend of mine got pulled aside by a manager once while he was there on his free time and was told to "get to work or be fired" - Very long hours with very little pay...managers will try to squeeze everything they can out of you - Some members can be extremely rude - If there is a problem with your paycheck, you are pretty much out of luck. - Managers are only about getting themselves ahead and most do not seem to care about anything but numbers - They are almost always short-staffed so you will be doing way more work than you can handle - You can tell that none of the employees want to be there - Managers play favorites and it is very obvious Honestly the only upside to working here is the free membership. Think long and hard before you accept a job here and prepare to be treated horribly by management and club members.
