Pros

- The company is very focused and driven to accomplish its goals - Management, including the CEO, stays in close communication, often having weekly "all hands" meetings to discuss what various teams have accomplished. Lots of "shout outs" during the meetings that give praise for people's hard work (from all departments). This is close to non-existent at larger companies where praise is limited to a select few individuals on a quarterly or annual cadence. - Great start-up atmosphere in downtown San Francisco - Company leads in its genre and has tremendous opportunity - Employees care deeply about their work and helping the company grow/ get better

Cons

Nothing that isn't a natural byproduct of working for a start-up. It's a growing start-up so if there is a preference for pre-established structure and process, then it may not be the right company. Many would consider this a pro.

Pros

Niantic has a unique mission and works on products that blend technology, gaming, community, and real-world exploration. The people are generally smart, passionate, and collaborative, and there are opportunities to work on creative projects with global impact. The company also offers a good learning environment for those interested in gaming, AR, live operations, and location-based products.

Cons

Priorities can shift frequently, which sometimes makes it difficult for teams to stay focused or understand how their work connects to the broader company strategy. Communication from leadership could be clearer, especially during periods of change. Some processes feel reactive rather than proactive, and cross-functional alignment can vary depending on the team.
