Pros

- Nicest and most hard-working coworkers who are driven by the company's missions, an inherent want to do well by their peers and by the players, and the pride they have in their work - ERGs lead by people who really care and strive to make this a safe space for all - Working on exciting franchises and IP - Leadership who listens and empowers change from the bottom up - You are empowered to pursue projects and tasks that inspire you and can really make your mark in big ways - A culture of trust. If something goes wrong, nobody ever points fingers. Problem-solving-focused mindset is ingrained in the company; there's no time to cast blame and hurt relations, let's solve the problem at hand. It's always assumed that everyone has the best intentions

Cons

There aren't many cultures like this one. If you've learned habits from other companies that include being cutthroat and not collaborative, then you might not enjoy working in an environment that will require you to unlearn that. Very flat organization that's going through typical growing pains. Lack of clarity around roles and responsibilities might be exciting to some but stressful to others.

Pros

Niantic has a unique mission and works on products that blend technology, gaming, community, and real-world exploration. The people are generally smart, passionate, and collaborative, and there are opportunities to work on creative projects with global impact. The company also offers a good learning environment for those interested in gaming, AR, live operations, and location-based products.

Cons

Priorities can shift frequently, which sometimes makes it difficult for teams to stay focused or understand how their work connects to the broader company strategy. Communication from leadership could be clearer, especially during periods of change. Some processes feel reactive rather than proactive, and cross-functional alignment can vary depending on the team.
