Pros

Culture - set very well by the founders and CEO Product Customers Stock! Growth

Cons

Career progression is unclear and no clear answer on promotion criteria Recognition isn’t given to those putting in a lot of effort Managers are new and making all their reports start their from scratch Those who are outspoken get more recognition, the managers don’t take the time to find out the truth of who’s doing what Managers throw problems back instead of helping manage escalations and conflicts

Cons

Like many publicly traded SaaS companies, Okta has aggressive revenue targets. Employees in sales, account management, and customer success frequently note that quotas are demanding, territories can change unexpectedly during annual restructuring, and pressure to expand accounts can lead to burnout.

Pros

Great Benefits. Fantastic product. Company is scaling (or at least trying to).

Cons

Management and company culture has grown toxic. Extremely political and dramatic. Specifically in sales, marketing, and the C-Suite. I wouldn’t recommend joining okta unless you are some type of director or above and also remote. SF just RTO’d and it’s been miserable.
