Pros
The pay was decent, the benefits within the office were good, and there were some truly outstanding people to work with - Many wanting to drive coherent and scalable change for good with the product and cross team collaboration.
Cons
Many depts were incredibly toxic and cliquey. Various other Sr/Mid managers only hired former colleagues en masse... most of these groups failed tremendously at their former companies. (and some have since failed and left Okta). Lots of idea stealing and / or being a major roadblocks to prevent others ideas and initiatives from succeeding. This created lots of turn over and further burn out - causing lots more friction and instability for coherent paths forward. Then the layoffs just added to the instability and frustration people not "in the cliques" felt.
