Pros

Tip share, discount on Bloomin Brands restaurants, CEO was very kind when I met him.

Cons

This location treated me very poorly. The proprietor Timothy Shulk often berates the workers and uses colorful language toward them. Due to the hosts taking advantage of having a new host I ended up doing the job of 5 hosts and a busser. I went to management and they had a conversation with the hosts, over the next week none of the hosts said a word to me, I continued to have to pick up the slack and would talk poorly of me in front of me. I brought this to management and it continued off and on for several weeks. After being in this type of environment and being forced to stay until after midnight when the location closed at 10 p.m. I became very frustrated and chose to not stay after only 5 months.

Pros

The store level can be a really rewarding experience, I come to work and genuinely enjoy my job and coworkers.

Cons

Hovering corporate can be a headache. You don't have a say on which location you are sent to after training just a consideration of your location and commute. The bonus system is lacking with metrics that are hard to obtain and only quarterly. Raises are hardly cost of living wages and seniority isnt rewarded as new managers typically come in making as much if not more than senior managers.
