      Being in the tech domain, you find a lot of help on problem resolution from around the world of Slb. and compensation packages are quite competitive in certain geographical locations. You get quite enough training opportunities, and career is well managed in the system.

      Cons

      There are a lot of processed defined, but generally they are tuned by individuals. You might come across corrupt personnel matters in terms of promotions and opportunities offered. In particular, sales people are promoted quite more than tech people. many times pissing techies.

      Pros

      Good people at the local level. The work is engaging and challenging.

      Cons

      Too many to count. Career advancements are extremely limited. Pay raises are minimal and don't get close to keeping up with inflation even for top performers. At the corporate level they are using acquisitions to hide massive layoffs. They return billions in profit to investors consistently, but there is still a constant threat of layoffs and multiyear freezes on pay raises even with inflation and solid corporate profit.
