      Pros

      Very few valid people even though the best ones already left the company

      Cons

      Forget about your career here. Either you know somebody/you are friend with/a relative was /is an executive manager/your boss likes you or your career ends the day you enter here. Typical Italian company where 90 / 95% of the executives are in that position because of the reasons given above (friend with, relative of, lover of etc etc). One of the comments about one of the fresh new executive managers was: A person who made of ambushing her reason of life...what was the result? EXECUTIVE MANAGER...STAY AWAY!

      Pros

      Great responsibility for offshore operations and quay-side mobilizations. Less technical role (no direct engineering performed), but more so, practical experience-driven when executing onsite.

      Cons

      Lots of reading and writing (Purchase Requests>Purchase Orders>Final contracts). Bureaucratic procurement (SAP and Word/Excel heavy) and poor interdepartmental follow-up: you have to do the follow-up when the assigned project inspector and expeditor (POSE) don't follow up on your PO. High workload.
