Pros

Great benefits and vacation time. CEO appears to have the right mindset. They promote work life balance, generous vacation time but can never take it because of workload, timeline and expectations. Vacation cannot be rolled over each year, therefore I loose vacation every year to continue to be a high performer.

Cons

The worst culture imaginable, which is sad and ironic because the Genzyme (acquired by Sanofi was the opposite). At Sanofi you are not a person you are a number. The expectation is unrealistic making a work life balance impossible. Very low salaries for those that are long standing employees. There is no value of the employee or contribution. Constant layoffs, I have seen employees/projects be recognized with the highest level of internal and external recognitions and awards then be laid off the month later. Layoffs are done in rash uneducated manors-with no understanding of their actions. Sanofi is a company built on investors not a mission for improving patients lives. European focus with negative treatment and acceptance of non-EU.

Pros

Extensive and active employee resource groups, strong leadership development opportunities, clear company mission, gig opportunities that support career development, strong employee support through the ombuds office and compliance help line, and stable company portfolio.

Cons

No work-life balance considerations with hybrid work model, contradictions in company mission compared to policies (i.e., target to reduce carbon emissions with employee commuting to office as one of the top 5 causes but yet still requiring employees to commute to office 3 days a week), some office sites are not conducive to in office productivity (not enough privacy or space), compensation package is not competitive for MA pharmaceutical companies, long-term incentives have almost no value once they are vested, health care benefits require employees to jump through hoops to maximize discounts or qualify for coverage of certain medications, and accountability for department leadership to follow the corporate leadership pillars is inconsistent across departments.
