Pros
Pretty quick to hire. Good snack lounge, random perks like occasional free breakfasts and lunches from vendors. I enjoyed the family feel of the company. SOME positions make you feel like you can flourish.
Cons
The reality of the position: I didn’t feel like customer care could get the space/time to breathe between the constant barrage of emails, phone calls, paperwork, etc. It was also challenging to work because the team environment was petty, immature, and stressful. Stressful position not worth the meager pay: The benefits offered for the position are adequate for a single person to live frugally in Orange County, though not enough to reach financial independence (afford an apartment in the area, pay off student debt, etc.). A more transparent scale of pay available to all employees would be helpful in making a decision in moving up in the company. A $1-$2 range raise from Customer Service Rep $15.00/hr to Associate Manager $16.00-$18.00/hr position is not worth the workload. Mishandling of Interpersonal Conflicts: Managers were too busy to effectively handle day to day issues. Concerns regarding staff behavior were encouraged to be shared one-on-one in person with management so that they could "keep it from getting back to you." Any interpersonal issues were then relayed to the other party in another one-on-one meeting instead of addressing the concerns with all parties involved. This fostered more tension rather than resolving the underlying problems.
