Pros
Some of the most talented, passionate and skilled design practitioners that I've worked with in my career. Leadership in my immediate area of business and my direct line manager have been excellent. I've had an opportunity to work on some very exciting projects during my time at Shell, from being a subject matter expert on a global brand refresh to a being a part of the Shell Design System team, a product that helps engineering / product teams to build their products faster and more efficiently.
Cons
The complete lack of understanding from leadership about the value of design. Insane levels of politics and bureaucracy. Focus on cutting European teams (that deliver value) in favour of off-shoring to India.
