My experience on the Growth Marketing team was extremely challenging and ultimately disappointing. In addition to a consistent lack of support from both my direct lead and senior leadership, there was an ongoing expectation to work overnight and outside of normal working hours on a regular basis, often without clear prioritization or recognition. Expectations were frequently shifting, feedback lacked transparency, and performance evaluations often felt predetermined rather than reflective of actual contributions. Low ratings appeared to be used in ways more aligned with workforce reduction decisions than genuine performance development. Several strong contributors were let go under similar circumstances, without clear or transparent reasoning. Overall, the environment made it difficult to succeed or grow despite sustained effort, long hours, and consistent delivery.
