Pros

- Opportunity to supervise and make a direct impact on a multi million dollar store from a day to day operations standpoint. - If you are young, college grads are sought after by Target, thus making social and professional life enjoyable. - Learning the building blocks of retail AND leadership. - You will get feedback on your job performance and you will know exactly where you stand.

Cons

- You will be at the mercy of your store manager (STL) and district manager (DTL) for feedback, advancement, and growth. - Leadership is relative to the individual who is giving you feedback. Your STL may say you're a great communicator and another leader may say you're not. - It's retail... work/life balance and vacations are impossible. - You don't really get a big picture view of what upper management is doing. - District and group leadership can be misleading... I know individuals who were promised promotions and signed off them for at least 6 months and have yet to have been promoted.
