Pros
401K, PTO, pay is above average for most RD jobs
Cons
- It's labelled as a work from home job however it is NOT flexible. You work off a landline so you can only work at your home desk. Your headset is wired so no pacing or moving on calls. They have not offered wireless headsets. I feel like a telemarketer. - Micromanagement - you are expected to track your time with each task you do using a timer. - You have 0 control of your day. Appointments are scheduled for you and are back to back all day. There is currently no appointment cap and some of our case loads are close to 100 - While our PTO is generous, you have to jump through hoops to request the time off - If you take PTO, expect your workload to be backed up accordingly - Your appointment is not just an appointment. You must document while also completing tasks in at least 3 different browsers - You are expected to counsel on pretty much any condition. Which is great but with limited time to complete CEUs or prepare for appointments ahead of time, I often feel inadequate for some cases - Some people are referred to you and could care less to talk to you - Little time to network or work on stretch projects to grow in your role or into a new role - Little time to interact with your teammates to build a sense of community
