Pros

- The amazing talent it used to attract. Both technically and in terms of social awareness. I don't think it's still the case, but many of the amazing people still remain. - Fast and diverse learning due to stretching nature of the assignments; - Used to look great at resumes, especially for technical roles. Not sure if it's still the case.

Cons

- Once a high quality consultancy, now a mostly empty shell that seems to be on its way to be be sold; - Lower than average market salary; - A huge gap between the promises and the reality; social and economic justice concerns were once a big driver and it's now a fading memory, for example. - Constant instability regarding project assignments; very little control over what types of assignments you might get and constant threats of being laid off if you're not assigned to client projects. - Very little support for people joining new assignments (usually with hours notice). Lack of consistent engagement frameworks, leaving consultants to figure things out, reinvent the wheel every assignment and save face in front of the client without any time or resources to prepare for it. - A very top heavy structure masked as a flat organization. Leaders that take no accountability of negative impact over bad results and bully consultants into staying in line. Very hostile attitude towards Works Council.

Pros

I've had a great experience building my career at Thoughtworks. One of the things that stands out most is the culture. It's collaborative, supportive, and filled with people who genuinely want to help each other succeed. Thoughtworks has also provided me with meaningful opportunities for career growth. I've been encouraged to take on new challenges, develop new skills, and explore different career paths. Leaders have been approachable and supportive, and I've always felt empowered to own my development rather than being confined to a single role. Like any organization, we’ve had our ups and downs. But the people and the commitment to continuous learning have remained consistent strengths. If you're looking for a place where you can grow professionally, work with smart and passionate people, and be part of a culture that values collaboration and innovation, Thoughtworks is a great place to build your career.

Cons

None that I can think of right now.
