- Interesting projects in frontier markets. - Opportunity to work with extremely talented and smart people. - Lots of travel opportunities. - Extremely open place to work across multiple regions across the world.
Cons
- Extreme bureaucracy. A significant chunk of your time will be spent doing bureaucratic internal processes. - Extremely slow career progression. Do not join IFC if you expect to grow fast. This is an extremely slow organization and you can be stuck in the same role for years and years, regardless of your performance. - Subpar compensation. Compensation lags most finance jobs. This is not a money play at all.
