I just started about 3 months ago and already potentially making about 15K per year. My situation is unusual, but I am grateful.

Cons

You need to be sure you have a great work life balance. Making Youtube videos while stressed is not recommended in my opinion.

- The impact you can have at YouTube Scale is bonkers - Lots of smart people to learn from

Cons

- Beaurocracy is heavy, lots of cooks in the kitchen
