Pros
Having worked for the company from the very early stage to post-acquisition, I have seen the company evolve in product focus, business goals and culture. Through out my tenure, employee satisfaction has always been the #1 priority. You cannot choose to join a better community of professionals who have created the ideal environment to bring out the best in every individual. Pros of working here include: • High regard for employee satisfaction. From recruiting, to day 1, and all the way through your time with Yummly, bringing out the best in an employee is essential. • Strong desire, focus and process designed to hire A+ players • Product technology and ideas at the forefront of IoT/Smart Kitchen development • Excellent office design to foster collaboration, transparency and “thinking big” • Extensive diversity in gender, cultures, age, and professional experience • Foodies and non-foodies are welcome. You don’t need to know what a sous vide machine is to be a welcome part of this food community • Strong backing by a mature, successful parent company that knows how to manage without micro-managing. • Management team that wants to see everyone develop their career path. Starting with the CEO, this team is invested in seeing each person continue to grow. If you want to expand your role, take on a cross functional responsibility, or take a step up, this senior team will listen.
Cons
There's not a con to working here. There are always challenges to get ahead of: • The company is growing very quickly; The Executive, HR, and Facilities teams are focused on infrastructure expansion and maintaining excellent culture. • Transition time is now to bring on more sophisticated systems and even more employee development opportunities. Again, Execs and HR are making this a priority. • Brilliant ideas come fast to this team. Staying on track/limiting distractions/controlling scope is top of mind for Product and R&D execs.
