The best job I've ever had.

Pros

Amazing talent and dedication top to bottom. Transparency at the executive level, agile business strategy. Leadership that is not complacent and always pushing forward. Flat management, no micromanagement, plenty of autonomy. Daily playtests where your feedback is heard and responded to.

Cons

Growing fast, flat management means career path is not as clearly mapped out as other companies. Your path is what trail you choose to blaze.

Working here is Epic

Pros

Everyone is exceptionally talented. Very open with information. Company is nimble and makes good (sometimes difficult) decisions. Incredibly generous with employees. So much opportunity.

Cons

Near double the amount of possible work that our man-power can handle. We can't (and shouldn't) do everything, but the team wants to.

Pros

The people here are top notch or the best in their fields. Learning experiences such as conferences and seminars have never been rejected. Cost of living in the area is very reasonable. Licensing the Unreal Engine gives us a financial cushion that is a rarity in the video game industry.

Cons

We've lost some good people in the last few years, but it's allowed people to step up. As the company gets bigger it gets harder to connect with everyone and know exactly what they do. More managers are being hired as we grow which makes us lose the feeling of a small company.
