Pros

- great perks: casual dress code, fun campus environment/offices, food, sabbaticals, salary/bonuses - bright, helpful coworkers who want to do good. If you need someone's help, you knock on their door and ask for it regardless of who they are. - from very early on, you're given real responsibility and an ability to make an impact - if you're great at what you're doing now and you know what you want to do next, you'll get an opportunity to try it out - traveling around the country with a group of smart, fun coworkers - the opportunity to advise executives of multi-million dollar organizations is something I find extremely rewarding - each day is different and each problem is unique, so the job stays interesting

Cons

- there's a very steep learning curve early on - the hours you work depend on what needs to get done. At some points during a project, that can be a lot, and you need to be able to get it donw. - travel is really fun a lot of the time, but long stretches of travel can be tiring

Pros

Salary is very competitive. You'll work with great people internally. flat structure that allows for quick advancement. growing industry.

Cons

Pace is very fast in implementation. You go from project to project and it never feels like you take a breath. Lots of stress from customers and internals can create a poor atmosphere. Since Meaningful Use, customer signings are up and travel is constant for most implementers. Very few opportunities outside of implementation for most.
