Pros

Intelligent coworkers, an environment that values feedback and respects strong opinions, and a chance to be a part of change and growth. When I started at Epic, I was told by my TL that if I performed my job competently, I could reach out and make a place for myself. I believed him, and I have. I now teach classes about topics I care about, have a chance to offer opinions about big company initiatives and communications, and have seen changes that stemmed from processes I helped fix.

Cons

If you are unwilling to seek out opportunities, it will be hard to find a place for yourself at Epic.

Pros

Challenging work keeps me interested. I am blessed to work with bright co-workers on a product that benefits people (as opposed to being a drain on society). I never feel like I am carrying someone else. Salary and benefits are excellent.

Cons

Challenging work keeps me busy. Hours can be long at times (not Success in one area brings responsibility in other areas - sometimes not related to my strengths. Most employees start young (just out of college) and single. They tend to make friends and socialze after work. Socializing with co-workers was much harder for me (a married man who had a family to go home to right after work).
