Pros

The Pay is very competitive and they regularly increase to keep up with inflation/market rates. You can also earn stock. Company buildings are themed and look very cool (there's a treehouse meeting room). There is a lot of variety in lunch options and the food is good (they hire actual chefs).

Cons

You must move to be within 45 min of the company HQ in Wisconsin. Expect 45 hr/week once you are fully onboarded (there's about 6 months of training for new devs). I had coworkers who felt overworked but my workload never ramped up to that point. A lot of work with legacy tech (M, Visual Basic, Subversion for version control) but they probably have finished migrating to newer stuff since I left. (They promised git migration but it took longer than initial timelines suggested).

Pros

You get very high initial pay and if you are a ton performer, your raises will be very high. You get to work with healthcare professionals and make a positive change in the world.

Cons

If you are an average performer you will get terrible raises. You get very limited time off and it barely improves with tenure. Management can be caring towards deadlines and not towards their staff. Personally, I worked until the stress made me want to quit, which was also true for about half my team. Not being fired once you hit three years requires being incredibly efficient or working long hours to compete against veteran coworkers with over a decade of experience. Management *must* rank you against coworkers for performance review. Your performance is always considered relative to others.
