usually very good tippers flexible schedule good money free gym usage, with group fitness classes amazingly clean locker rooms

Cons

not always busy (at my location on Long Island) wealthy, obnoxious, north shore clients (although not all of them!) really bad marketing focusing on body type. quotas for massage and for product sales

Equinox was one of the cleanest gym I have ever worked. The other trainers where all over the place some cool some thought they where the number 1 trainer in the country. One of my managers was fantastic very helpful and over qualified to work there to be honest. Just know what you are getting into.

Cons

The other manager was all about number (yes its business I understand) But there was no development she was clueless. Work very long hours and the pay is not 100,000 like they say you will work for months and months before you can even make a living.

The facilities are immaculate, coworkers are professional and ambitious, many, many opportunities to learn and hone your craft, barter system with spa staff and Pilates instructors. The locker room is amazing.

Cons

Very rigid guidelines and building your business takes quite the iron will. I do think that should you make it to the other side, you will be thankful for the thorough and effective trainer you have become.
