Pros

Best education and training for personal trainers! No other company offers the knowledge and exposure that Equinox does. Also, best pay ever for personal trainers. You can make a killing at Equinox if you are a full time trainer, in other words, doing around 100 sessions a months. Not to mention the Training Team is amazing. Great culture and brotherhood.

Cons

100% commission job. Lead allocation is never reliable. Favoritism thrives and some trainers get way more leads than most other trainers. Also, your hustel has to be huge to acquire full time status. In other words, expect to work 10 to 12 hour days 6 days a week. Also, the worst benefits ever, virtually no benefits. Although the Training Team is amazing, the general team and membership advisors need to get on the same page, it could be a hot mess at times.

Pros

You'll look really hot and will probably find a rich lover -- which is how most employees seem to make ends meet.

Cons

Management is completely disorganized, they say nothing is personal, but everything is. They expect the gym to be your entire life. They will lie to your face. Very political.

Pros

Nice studios Diverse group of instructors Discounted membership for Spouse or Partner Nice club to work out in

Cons

When you are offered the Pilates Coordinator position they say that it's part time. Ha! It's full time and you're told "whatever it takes to make goal". It doesn't matter if you are understaffed or membership is down. Here's the kicker you do management duties but they don't call you that. You will also make 10-12 dollars less than the Training Managers. Never mind the fact that you've done over 700 hrs just to get your certification. You will get paid 925.00 each pay check for Coordinator in addition to your training hours. However you can't train that many clients because you will be doing admin. work and scheduling for all the other instructors. Your training rate is 46.50 for a private while the training managers for personal training will be paid 56.00 per hour and 52.00 per hour. As far as instructors rates go it's 30.00/hr for Junior, 37.00 for Mezzo, and 42.00 for Senior. You will be expected to do emails, and front desk hours and "events" to increase Pilates visibility for a mere 8.00 per hour. You will be asked to email members who never did their comps in the hopes they will buy. You will have to do monthly projections saying what how many people you think you'll convert. If you are willing to hustle to get clients than you will be fine.
