Pros

Opportunity to be exposed to large volumes of work and responsibility within only a few months of joining

Cons

Opaque promotion processes; good work is rewarded with more work and not much else; bangalore is treated as a cost centre for business from other offices; calculus of analyst time on a project is fraudulent since regular 12+ hour work days are not reflected in costing to client; burnout and long hours are considered 'part of the job; mangement rarely takes responsibility, making poor decisions but assigning blame to project teams when things go wrong; "client is king" mentality prevents senior client PoCs from raising concerns around cost and timeline, instead choosing to dump unreasonable expectations of analysts, even when clients' needs are not particularly time sensitive; the company's hiring model seems to rely on high churn rate, getting 90% of the work done from new hires that will quit within 2-3 years.

It's a sales company, not data

Pros

Nice colleagues who are hardworking without all the backstabbing in other companies.

Cons

Management is not interested in data quality or real insights. They're just obsessed with selling which is not wrong as profits and revenue are what companies are created for. But you need to invest in your own capabilities, not just employing more sales staff. We sales people ended up with a smaller slice of the customer pie and annoyed customers who don't trust what we have

Easy workspace but no progression

Pros

Hybrid and generally good with hours as long as you're available and getting the work done. Quite slow pace so rarely overworked. Casual dress code.

Cons

Seniors or management aren't allowed to befriend executives or juniors. The social aspect is encouraged in regular outings yet they don't want any genuine friendships forming. Comments on length of lunch taken, where you sit, who you talk to, amount of coffees etc. No clear career progression at all or KPIs. Leadership can be bullies.
