Pros

If you are in the syndicated research team, you get some good hours and a 30 minute yoga class in one of the conference rooms. If you are a consultant, you have hard deadline to meet.

Cons

Toxic employees are promoted, while team players and real consultants are leaving. Managers and Heads are all friends, and that's how you get there. As a new consultant I was thrown projects that I was suppose to manage starting month 1. The expectation is that you manager 4-5 projects at the same time. Have you ever heard that from other consulting firms?

Awful Sales Management

Business Outlook

Pros

Outside of the sales leadership, it is a great place to work.

Cons

Sales managers are inept and inflexible. No career development and little to no plan on how to grow the business.

Pros

- Interesting role, opportunities to work with a multitude of clients and manage a team of in-country analysts from around the world quite early on in your career. Open-minded colleagues and international environment. It is a company where employees can learn a lot to start a career in market research and delve into new industries. Good company reputation despite important internal corporate challenges. - Impressive work done by the corporate social responsibility team. Opportunity to volunteer for an organisation of your choice for 2 days a year. Fundraising: company executes yearly donations to charitable organisations. Well done! - HR and recruitment teams are very friendly and approachable, they listen and understand personal issues and offer flex working opportunities (1 day WFH per week).

Cons

- Old school company structure: every research associate/analyst/senior analyst does the same role every year and follows a clear research calendar, hence job can become quite repetitive. There are insufficient growth opportunities (in most cases, you need to wait for a manager to resign to be able to reach that title) - Work environment: extremely high turnover of employees in the research and IT department making it for a toxic workplace (employee satisfaction is at all times low in many teams) - Lack of leadership: no clear company vision or career progression structure, promotion based on length in service rather than performance, no clear expectations set for research teams, no feedback on performance or projects completed, no accountability & very lenient culture in most research clusters - Pay: under market average, bonus dependent on company performance
