Pros

None for working there, well it was so awesome meeting new clients everyday and making them happy. Also gaining experience in full body waxing.

Cons

Time off is not aloud. You must push sales with every guest no matter what or your terminated. Every wax center has a extremely high turn over rate. So many burn complaints..: employees are instructed to lie for sales or will be fired on the spot. If you don't meet goal for the pay period your terminated. Front desk has to sell packages and will lie to older people to sell more or else they would be fired. They have no culture or value. And don't belive in a work life balance.

Pros

Costumers were wonderful and great to talk to. Products are great and all natural as well. Wax was the best I've ever experienced.

Cons

Horrible manager. Most people there were completely fake. I was asked to lie to costumers in order to get my sales up. The worst experience was when I had a very ill grandfather while I worked there. He was rushed to the hospital I called out of work so I could be by his side. I went into work the next day even though he was still sick because I felt like I would get fired if I didn't. When my manager came in she asked to speak to me and she said "if this is gonna be a thing like if he's gonna die and you need time off I need you to take care of that now. You need to find coverage, you can not call out like that." I was absolutely taken back. Not to mention I had never felt welcomed there in my entire employment so asking for coverage was difficult because everyone was all about "well if I take your shift can you take mine?" Absolutely unreal. I would not recommend solely because of how un-welcomed I felt as well as the lack of respect.

Pros

The hours are great, nice little 6 1/2 hours shifts during the week, one weekend day all day. It's really nice getting cash tips on a daily basis. You form relationships with your guests from seeing them every 2-4 weeks. If you get lucky with generous regulars, the tips can be good. It's fairly easy to get time off if you know about it in advance. Most wax associates are very helpful and pick up shifts when they can. Very fast-paced (once you build your clientele up), so the days just fly by. It is a good place to start and get experience.

Cons

The turnover is very high.. Guests are constantly complaing about waxers leaving or getting fired. You work with all girls... which usually means drama and gossipping. Management is very sales driven.. it often feels like they don't care about their employees, just their numbers. Many waxers received a drop in their hourly wage and bonuses are almost impossible to get. You have to work really hard and get paid very little. There is no room for growth...
