      Pros

      You meet some nice guest, hard but great training, the wax is awesome. I would not make it an career but it is good if your fresh out of beauty school and need a quick gig.

      Cons

      Well they basically utilize you to build their books so once you leave you can not take any of your guest with you. After investing a year of your hard work they cut your pay off at $9 so you basically have to continue to upsell and sell products if you want any reward. Tips are not always reliable because you may not receive a tip but that applies for any service position. No benefits, no full time, you also have to request time off 4 weeks in advance and it may not still be approved. Very high turnover rate. They claim it's very family oriented when it's not and their appearing everywhere like they are the McDonald's of express waxing services.

      Pros

      Good starter job for new estheticians. Learn to wax fast and improve skills to work at a much higher end spa/ salon.

      Cons

      Wax is terrible. Leaves a lot of hair behind. Commission sucks as does hourly. Cash tips are good. Too much pressure to sell products and rebook clients which don't show and then they don't get charged so you end up not making any money. The free first time services suck because you don't get commission on it and people don't usually tip on free. The uniform is awful and you have to buy your own scrubs! The company plays loud annoying pop music only. Staff is gossipy and back stabbing. They hire too many estis so everyone sits around with no appts and not making any money. Owners only care about themselves and using the estis as slaves. Too corporate but when you are fresh out of school it helps you build up your experience and resume.

      Pros

      The owners built the Costa Mesa, Ca center with NO BREAK ROOM...that should tell you plenty. They also refused to provide drinking water and did not hire a cleaning service. So when you weren't doing an impossible 15 minute Brazilian....you were cleaning the center. Thirsty after all that? Too bad, bring your own water. Tired? No break room, eat in the same room on the same table you just waxed 5 vagina's on.

      Cons

      Our manager refused to ask guests if they'd like to leave a tip bc the script from HQ's says not to unless they're paying with credit card. This is to ensure that any extra money the guest has will go to PRODUCTS, not the waxer. They pay $8 an hour with 5% commission...nothing! So you'll be broke after long days of busting your butt selling products and doing 15 minute Brazilians.
