Pros

Work life Balance, Personal Growth

Cons

Employee confidence in the new Senior Leadership Team has diminished, largely due to the perceived exclusive focus on involuntary redundancies, especially within the UK region.

Experian Response

Thank you for sharing your experiences. We value all feedback and are committed to making Experian an exceptional place to work, incl. an environment of trust and respect. Pleased to read you valued work/life balance and our focus on development. In Nov we were delighted to be acknowledged as a top 25 World’s Best Workplaces, recognition of our ‘people first’ and purpose driven culture. It is disheartening to read you feel your Experian journey overall was 1 stars. I appreciate as a former Experian colleague it’s difficult for me to address and improve your Experian journey, but I’d love to understand your points of view in more detail and would therefore warmly encourage you to connect with me directly – Tara Forde, Chief People Officer UK&I

Pros

Experian provides good benefits, fair pay, and great work life balance.

Cons

The path to promotions and advancement is unclear. My manager has no idea how to manage me, where to direct my efforts, or how to listen (rather than panic fill dead silence) during a 1 on 1 meeting. This all means work is easy but I am left feeling like I am drifting and going nowhere. Experian's software and systems are ancient! They are still using a data mainframe that is 30 years old at this point. Their ability to automate processes and scale is bound by this ancient technology that they just can't seem to move on from. Lots of legacy employees that are stuck in their old ways and old office habits. They have no idea how to use simple collaboration tools like shared excel sheets, Jira, or Teams so work is incredibly inefficient. Everything is managed via email and there is zero documentation. The meeting culture is terrible. Everyone's kneejerk reaction is to schedule a meeting with no agenda even though a simple email would be more effective. They love scheduling status update meetings at the cost of 10 people but the benefit of 1. I've successfully pushed back on some of these meetings but it was like pulling teeth to get there.
