Lies about pay

Business Outlook

Pros

Office is nice. People are nice, considering they have no idea what’s happening.

Cons

The recruiter lied about my salary when I joined. No bonus because the company was doing poorly. Didn’t matter what I did. I started looking elsewhere. Management told me they would match that salary so I declined the other job, then they refused to raise my pay.

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're very concerned to hear about your experience and would like to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. We work hard to reward all Farfetchers with a fair and competitive package - with salary, benefits, equity and bonus all making up our approach to total reward. Please contact our Head of People UK (jessica.coelho@farfetch.com) to discuss this further. Thank you.

Pros

They are trying to pay a bit more in order for people to stay as in 2019 a whole lot of people left. Still, the market offers more.

Cons

WFH is a lie. You need to have a good reason to stay at home, otherwise management requires you to be there, even if you don't produce at all. Corona virus isn't enough for management to close the office. You can work from home, but they keep telling everyone that you have to work and it is not vacation time. If you think people don't work just fire them, don't make the others suffer just because you hired below par developers. Every other known IT company closed the office, only Farfetch didn't.

Thank you for leaving us this review. Although we're sorry to hear this feedback we'd like to ensure you that our first priority is always the health and wellbeing of our people and that we are monitoring the current Covid-19 situation and following government and health authorities guidelines, with health and safety front of mind. We are also very proud and supportive of our flexible working policy at Farfetch, even more so at this difficult time. Remote work was already part of Farfetch ways of working and that's the reason why we've managed to adapt rapidly to this global disruptive situation that the entire world is facing. We're also sorry to read your comments about our management team. Our managers' development is instrumental in our people development strategy and just last year we launched a Global Manager Training program to equip all of our managers with the tools to support and grow their teams and we will continue to focus on building great leaders at Farfetch.
