      Want to learn java and have never done it before training is quite good.

      Cons

      Go to UK for €170 per week for 16 weeks. Promises of loads of jobs but most people in Ireland are never placed. €26,000 for a java developer is way below average for working in Dublin. Get more as a graduate.Tied in for 90 days after doing their academy which means you can't work with anybody else either. From your first day of employment you are tied to that money for 2 years.

      Average training, doesn't always lead to a job. Wouldn't recommend.

      Met some great people in my training group (as well as graduates other streams) Most of the trainers I encountered seemed like nice people.

      Cons

      Half of my training group didn't get placed. Poor contract that ties you into a two year contract with FDM You don't get paid until you start your placement (Can be hard to finance the training yourself) Account managers don't seem to care about you, often not replying to phone calls or emails.

      Thank you for your feedback. We are as transparent as possible in regards to the two-year contract, and appreciate that the programme may not suit everyone. Most of our consultants are placed straight away or even before their training is completed, so they have a placement waiting for them. However, sometimes there is a period of time before or in between placements. You will hopefully understand that this is a function of the market and beyond the control of FDM. During any such time we encourage consultants to take advantage of the further training and coaching that is available – including classroom based training and Pluralsight.
